Indonesia is an extremely culturally diverse country with more than 300 ethnic groups, each with their own customs, traditions and dialects. It’s amazing to see how Indonesia’s music scene demonstrates its cultural diversity, local creativity as well as foreign musical influences.
Various music genres have been explored, developed and shaped in the country’s contemporary music scenes. Can you imagine the crossover between hip-hop, jazz, reggae, rock, electro and dance? Our summer resident ‘aRt of tRee’, a group of talented Indonesian musicians that performs a new breed of Hip-Hop and Jazz, will be having an album release on iTunes on the night. Other international-class artists will also be featured in this event is Glenn Fredly, Dira Sugandi, Angel Pieters, DJ Cream and Kyriz Boogiemen.
