POPIAH: Healthy Snack on Springtime

POPIAH is a Singaporean favorite snack that is easily be found at many hawker centers. It is originated in China during the Qing Dynasty and derived from spring roll, which was eaten during spring when there was an abundance of vegetables. Popiah is a kind of fresh spring roll made with a paper-like wheat crepe and filled with grated turnip, bean sprouts, tofu, peanuts, egg. In general, a popiah contains only 188 calories; it is low fat and moderate in fibre.
